An easy rule of thumb if you're working with a dual voltage transformer and not sure of the line voltage is to set your transformer on 14.4 before heating up and check voltage. If you’re only getting half voltage on your hot legs, open up the circuit and switch it back to 7200 and heat it back up. It’s okay to send 7200 volts into a 14,400 transformer but not the other way around.
