the pressure is when the particles in that container of air are closer together than the particles in the surrounding atmosphere. so they race out to where there is more room until they are in same number per area as the surrounding air. or in a tire they are still forced in and held tight. under pressure .....though they are the same stuff as what surrounds they are squished tighter together than normal.

What general statement can be made about the relationship between air pressure and altitude?

Air pressure decreases as altitude increases.

How is compressed air made?

Compressed air is made by using an air compressor to increase the pressure of the surrounding air. The air compressor takes in large volumes of air and reduces its volume by compressing it, resulting in high-pressure compressed air. This compressed air can then be stored in tanks or used for various applications.

What creates drag?

What specifically creates drag is actually air. If you passed grade six or are still in it, then you should know this. Drag is made when there is high air pressure ( still air) and low air pressure ( moving air) believe it or not, but high air pressure is stronger than low air pressure. And when there is low air pressure , say the lady bug is flapping its wing, that creats low air pressure, then high air pressure always pushes the object ( in this case the ladybug) in to the low air pressure. That is how drag is created. I think. X) Like a boss

How does air pressure change as water vapor pressure increases?

As water vapor pressure increases, the total air pressure also increases due to the addition of water vapor molecules to the air mixture. The increase in water vapor pressure results in a corresponding decrease in the partial pressure of the other gases in the air, such as oxygen and nitrogen. This change in air pressure can affect weather patterns and atmospheric conditions.

How does air apply pressure?

Air applies pressure due to the weight of the air molecules above it pressing down. The higher up you go in the atmosphere, the less air there is above you, resulting in lower air pressure. The force of air pressure can be measured and is an important factor in weather systems and air travel.

What made the air move in a rocket balloons?

How is earths air pressure different from seas air pressure?

It is different in that the seas don't have air pressure. No air; no air pressure.

How does air pressure affect air movement?

Air pressure affects air movement because air moves from high pressure to low pressure. The air pressure pushes or will press the air around.

What are wind made of?

cold air is heavier than hot air so the cold air gos to the hot air where theirs less pressure
