What creates drag?

What specifically creates drag is actually air. If you passed grade six or are still in it, then you should know this. Drag is made when there is high air pressure ( still air) and low air pressure ( moving air) believe it or not, but high air pressure is stronger than low air pressure. And when there is low air pressure , say the lady bug is flapping its wing, that creats low air pressure, then high air pressure always pushes the object ( in this case the ladybug) in to the low air pressure. That is how drag is created. I think. X)

Why do they close airplanes gear when it takeover?

the gear creates a lot of drag so raising it reduces that drag

The parachute slows the rocket down by increasing aerodynamic circle?

The parachute creates drag that opposes the rocket's motion, slowing it down. This drag force is generated as the parachute catches the air and creates turbulence, reducing the rocket's speed.

How do you put your apps in folders?

Drag any app on top of another then it creates a folder.

Does the elevator on a plane create drag?

Yes, the elevator on a plane creates drag when it is deflected up or down to change the aircraft's pitch. This drag results from the increased air resistance due to the elevator's angle of attack.

What causes induced drag?

Induced drag is caused by the creation of lift on an aircraft's wings. As the aircraft generates lift, it creates vortices at the wingtips, which result in a rearward force component known as induced drag. This drag increases as the angle of attack or lift produced by the wings increases.

Do rear spoilers increase gas mileage?

Spoilers decrease gas mileage. Spoilers are designed to create down force, which creates drag. The drag will increase gas usage.

Why drag increases as lift increase - for helis?

As lift increases for helicopters, the angle of attack of the rotor blades must also increase to generate more lift. This higher angle creates more drag due to increased air resistance and turbulence. Additionally, the higher lift forces can lead to increased induced drag, which is generated as a byproduct of producing lift.

Which of these is a type of drag force turbulence tension thrust and compression?

Turbulence is a type of drag force that creates resistance to the flow of a fluid. It is caused by chaotic and irregular motion within the fluid.

Do paper planes fly longer with a wide wingspan?

Sort of a wider wing span creates more lift but also creates more drag the shape of the wing is also a factor

Why does low drag coeffitients improves the top speed of the car without the need for a more powerful enjgne?

Drag creates friction. The more friction you have, the more power you need to get an object to a desired speed.

Does an alternator while charging affect gas mileage?

yes, it creates drag on the motor, very little but does affect milage

How do you control drag from increasing on helicopter?

Drag cannot be eliminated because drag always acts parallel to the relative wind. We can control by purchasing or using the right airfoil on the aircraft. An airfoil with smooth surface produces more lift than one with a rough surface. A rough surface creates turbulence, which reduced lft and increases drag.
