Microbes are microscopic organisms that cannot be seen by the naked eye, only by using a microscope. Other names for microbes are microorganisms and, when related to infection or diseases, "germs" and "bugs".

The simplest definition of a microbe is a living thing, or ORGANISM, too tiny to be seen without the aid of a microscope. Most-but not all- are single cell (e.g. fungi are not single cell). Some, such as viruses are even "submicroscopic" requiring special electron microscopes to see them. Microbes fall into seven groups: bacteria, archaea, fungi, protists, microscopic animals, microscopic plants, and viruses. Although not all scientists agree that viruses should be included in the grouping, others do, for ease of discussion, even though they do not strictly meet the definition of microbes because they are not living. Viruses are organisms with specific behaviors and functions and the ability to reproduce or replicate, but they are particles rather than living microscopic organisms.

Are all the microbes strictly pathogen?

No, not all microbes are pathogens. Microbes can be beneficial or harmful, depending on the context. Many microbes are essential for processes such as digestion, nutrient cycling, and immune system function.

What is microbes and what is thermophilic and mesophilic microbes?

Microbes are organisms that are composed of only one solitary cell or a cell which lives in a colony with other cells. Thermophilic microbes are organisms that prefer to live in areas with a temperature that is higher than the normal.Mesophilic are these microbes that prefer areas with moderate temperature.

How are microbes useful in household life?

Microbes are very important part of ecology the main or general function of microbes to human or enviornmental wellfare is to work as decomposers. Microbes like bacteria and fungi are also used in industrial production of enzymes and proteins or some antibiotics. Some fungi like yeast is also used in making wine and other in dairy products. The another useful function of microbe is to study the action and mechaninsms of genetic disease as E.coli is many time taken as model to study genetic diseases

How do microbes disrupt homeostasis?

microbial action disturbs homeostasis by increasing the required pH in the body and the temperature.the toxic substances produced also are harmful they mix up in the blood with body cells incresing immune reactions .

How does fungus get inside of you?

Through microbes you breath in then the microbes settle and grow into fungus

What is the function of IgG?

IgG functions as an antibody that helps in phagocytosis of microbes and activates NK cells to kill the pathogen.

What is the Function of lactose in Mac Convey agar?

Lactose is used as a selective nutrient in the agar as not all microbes can process lactose

The function of a phagocyte is?

Phagocytes are very important components of our body's immunity (innate immunity). They are cells that can phagocytose foreign microbes (engulfing microbes by the cell membrane) and then they use enzymes to break down these foreign microbes. Phagocytes may also present the remnants of the microbe to a different type of cells (lymphocytes) to create a memory of that microbe in the body.

What function gives feces its brown color?

The breakdown of erythrocytes is the function, but it is the waste product of this function, bile pigment bilirubin which is altered by microbes in the large intestine, resultant urobilinogen, which is converted to STERCOBILIN and excreted in the faeces. It is therefore the by product of this function, STERCOBILIN which deodorises and gives faeces its brown colour.

What are the function of epithelial cells?

The cilia on their surface trap dust and microbes, then pass the trapped substances along with mucus to the throat, where they can then be swallowed. This then protects the lungs.
