It should not matter in the ring. Proper form is the most important thing, along with good horsemanship, and confidence.
Someone may say that a slim, strong build is best, but it really doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is self-confidence and trying your best.

In bull riding, Newton's third law states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. When the bull rider applies force to stay on the bull, the bull exerts an equal force in the opposite direction, making it a challenging and dynamic interaction between the rider and the bull. This law helps explain how the rider's movements and actions can affect the bull's response.
The CN International Grand Prix in 2009 was won by the American rider McLain Ward riding Sapphire. He won by two one hundredths of a second against the Canadian rider Eric Lamaze in a jump off. Ward ended the jump off with zero faults and a time of 37.76 while Lamaze, also clear, had a time of 37.78. It was an amazing competition. The Nations Cup was won by the Netherlands that year, I think they had a single fault to their team and the US and Mexico were runner ups.

It is a political analogy, the "rider" refers to the federal government. The "mule" refers to the stubborn states of the U.S. and the "carrot" refers to money. It basically means if the federal government dangles some money in front of the states, the states will do anything for the federal government. Just like a mule would take his rider anywhere, so long as there is a carrot tied to a string, dangling in front of the mule.

It's just called jumping. The Jumping shows are called Show Jumping, and then Hunter-Jumper. From what I have heard, Show Jumping is based on speed and focuses more on the horse than the rider. Hunter-Jumper is about the rider.

The ideal height for a medium-sized bike rider is typically between 5'6" and 5'10".
The ideal motorbike to rider weight ratio is 0.07. The closer the ratio is to zero, the more it feels like one is riding without the motorbike weight, just the rider's.

The idea build for an English rider can vary a bit according to the form of riding done ( Jumping, Dressage, etc.). But a good rider no matter what type of riding is typically a bit longer legged with a shorter torso, this provides better balance in the saddle. The rider should be fit and not too heavy nor too skinny as both will cause problems. Many shorter women in particular have better balance than taller women and make some of the best riders.
The ideal height range for a rider to comfortably fit on a 53 cm bike frame is typically between 5'5" to 5'9".
Hunter is usually refering to hunter over fences. A whole series of fences to test the horse and rider on skill, ability and judgement. Hunter Hack is the hunter over fences and flat work on the rail.
There are basically two different type of ponies an equitation and a hunter. A hunter horse simply means that it has a nice gait, nice movement, stride, and a nice rounded jump to it. If you ever compete in a hunter division, it pretty much means that the judge is judging the horse more than the rider. So when you are being judged, you want you make it look like the horse is doing all the work. At a trot and/or canter, you want to let the reins go loose and let your horse stretch its neck. And at the jumps you want the horse/pony's leg to round up by its head. You cant trust this information (: I compete in both hunter and equitation with my 4 yr old pony :D
A horse and rider can compete against others in an arena with jump standards set up, this can either be called Jumping class, or a Hunter class in the Jumper class the rider has to jump with the best time, with the least amount of jumps knocked over. In a Hunter class the horse and rider also compete against other riders to see who has the greatest Hunt Seat Equitation (Who meets the standards best/looks the best) over the jumps/fences. There is also a competition called Cross Country. Cross Country is a race over a set amount of the length of the course set by the judges. The horse and rider must complete the course with the best time to win.
