Genes encode RNA and proteins/enzymes in DNA sequences. The proteins and enzymes allow the organism to function optimally. Enzymes are involved in cycles such as TCA and FTC in the form of ATP (energy). If a mutation occurs when the gene encode these enzymes the entire cycle can be disrupted and cause an organism to become unhealthy.

Genes control everything you anatomically are and a healthy organism is defined by what it does, eats and the environment surrounding it. Genes may change during your life on their own and anatomical miracles may occur.

How would you explain to an untrained neighbor the process scientists use to change the genes of an organism to give it useful new traits?

Scientists use a technique called genetic engineering to change the genes of an organism. This involves identifying the specific gene responsible for the desired trait, isolating it, and inserting it into the genome of the target organism. By doing this, scientists can transfer beneficial traits from one organism to another, improving traits such as disease resistance or crop yield.

What are sex-link genes and their effects?

Since males are the only sex to have a y chromosome, only males can get genes that are linked to the Y chromosome. This means that some genetic diseases and conditions are more likely to be male such as color blindness.

Is there a link between extinction and climate change?

Yes, there is a strong link between extinction and climate change. Climate change can disrupt ecosystems and alter habitats, putting many species at risk of extinction. Changes in temperature, precipitation patterns, and sea levels can directly affect an organism's ability to survive and reproduce, leading to population declines and potential extinctions.

What best describes the relationship between evolution and natural selection?

Natural selection is when two organisms breed. The good genes that the child would need to survive in the habitat are passed on and the bad genes are not used. So the offspring would have had all of the right genes in order to survive.Natural selection keeps happening and then over time the species would completely adapt to the environment and sometimes a new species is made. This means the species has evolved into a new , adapted one That is the link! Hope it helped

Why do chromosomes determine an individuals phenotype?

Chromosomes are made of DNA and protein. DNA is the genetic material that determines the genotype and phenotype of a person. The phenotype is the genes that are expressed and observable. See the related link for further information.

What does transitional organism mean?

A transitional organism is an organism that exhibits traits of two different evolutionary stages, showing the evolutionary link between two related species. These organisms can provide valuable insights into how certain traits or features evolved over time. Examples include Archaeopteryx, a transitional species between reptiles and birds, and Tiktaalik, a transitional species between fish and tetrapods.

Would two light skin people have albino child?

Not necessarily - the genes for albinoism are very recessive, but can be carried by a number of people. To the best of my knowledge, there is no link between the genes for skin tone (pale, fair, bronze, chocolate, dark, etc) and the gene for albinoism (true absence of all pigmentation).
