Telescopes without tracking work just fine when you focus them on the north star. On any other object, however, the view drifts as the earth spins, and the drift get worse the further south one peers.

With a manual telescope every minute or two you have to readjust the image to get what you are looking back into the field of view. If you have lots of people lining up to look through your telescope, you have to interrupt them every few minutes to readjust the image. With automatic tracking this problem is alleviated. To make it work you aim the telescope at two or three bright stars, and it can take over from there. Sometimes you also need to tell it your latitude, longitude, date and time, depending on how sophisticated your tracking system is.

I can see satellite with telescope?

While it is technically possible to spot satellites with a telescope, it can be challenging due to the fast speeds at which satellites orbit the Earth. You would need a telescope with a high magnification power, precise tracking capabilities, and clear viewing conditions to have a chance of spotting a satellite. It's recommended to use resources like satellite tracking websites or apps to help locate satellites in the sky.
