Ammonium nitrate is one of the slowest explosives in existence. Dynamites, PETN, TNT, HMX and RDX are more powerful (pound for pound) and have a higher rate of detonation.
Higher the temperature, the faster the molecules move. This increased motion leads to greater reactivity, faster chemical reactions, and increased rates of diffusion.
Greater density causes particles to settle faster.
Power is needed in sprinting to generate the necessary force to overcome inertia, accelerate quickly, and maintain high running speed. The greater the power output, the faster a sprinter can propel themselves forward in a race. Increasing power can help improve sprinting performance by enabling athletes to generate more forceful and explosive movements.
The water molecules in warm water have greater kinetic energy, making them move faster.
Low explosives deflagrate (burn) at a subsonic speed, while high explosives detonate at a supersonic speed, resulting in a shock wave. Low explosives are slower and less powerful, often used in fireworks and pyrotechnics, while high explosives are faster and more powerful, commonly used in military and mining applications.
Ammonium Nitrate acts as an oxidizer to the reaction. Ammonium Chloride merely provides Cl- as a catalyst to the reaction. The water in the spit begins to decompose the Ammonium Nitrate, which produces Nitrous Oxide and water vapor. The water vapor decomposes more Ammonium Nitrate, creating an autocatalyitic effect. The heat provided from the decomposition ignites the zinc, creating more heat, which decomposes the Ammonium Nitrate at a faster rate, producing more gas more rapidly. The overall formula is: Zn(s) + NH4NO3(s) → N2(g) + ZnO(s) + 2 H2O(g) *Note* Sodium Chloride may also be used in place of Ammonium Chloride.
In some conditions, yes; ammonium nitrate is an explosive material very unpredictable. More fully, Ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) is flammable, but it is primarily an oxidizer, giving oxygen to other burning things to allow them to burn faster, or even explode (like the Oklahoma City car bomb). It will also spontaneously ignite when mixed with certain metals and organic compounds (zinc, acetic acid). Given that, the ammmonium nitrate in an ice pack is highly purified and well-contained so that I do not worry about them spontaneously exploding, but I wouldn't throw one in a fire, either. In fact (though probably not recommended), I recycle the ammonium nitrate back to dry powder in a zip-lock ready for use with water again.
The reactants are all solids at standard temperature and pressure and therefore can initially react with one another only at the surfaces of the particles in which each reagent is present. Grinding greater increases the surface area of each reaction, thereby facility quick reaction of the entire supply of each reagent.
Well not by themselves. Charcoal and sugar are both fuel, but they will not light fast enough without something added. The magic ingredient in explosive powders such as gunpowder is often an oxidizer (Potassium nitrate-KNO3 most oftenly used). To make an explosive powder, you would want to grind the charcoal and/or sugar with the KNO3 into a fine powder. The finer the powder, the better it is mixed. The better it is mixed, the faster it burns. The faster it burns, the more explosive it is.
Gunpowder typically ignites and burns faster than emulsion-gel explosive, which results in a quicker release of energy and a faster explosive force. Emulsion-gel explosives are engineered to be more stable, controlled, and efficient, so they may be more predictable and suitable for certain applications despite having a slower speed of reaction.
Calcium nitrate or potassium nitrate dissolved in water and sprayed on certain plant leaves should help them grow faster than just water alone. The type of solution would vary from plant to plant. Some plants burn when water is sprayed on their leaves.
The resistance is greater the faster the vehicle is going.
A sonic boom is when an explosive sound is made by the shock wave of an airplane traveling faster then the speed of sound.
No Alexis sanchez is known for his explosive speed and agility neymar is known for being well with tricks so no neymar is not faster then Alexis Sanchez
greater surface area to volume ratio greater the rate of dissolution it will dissolve faster if broken into smaller pieces hence smaller = faster
Rugby speed is all about explosive power and acceleration therefore weight training and sprinting will improve your speed for rugby
this is because the more is the volume, the greater is the surface area and thus more heat is absorbed by the surfaces resulting in faster melting og ice cube.....
