Well, first of all, there's no such longitude as "236° West". Longitudes begin with

zero at the Prime Meridian and number up to 180° in each direction, east and west.

But if you really want to press the issue, you could find a place where the longitude

is 236° west of Greenwich, although it's never called by that name ... it's always

identified as "124° East".

The point 37°S/124°E is in the Indian ocean ... actually the part of it nestled in

the big indentation in Australia's south coast called the "Great Australian Bight".

The point is about 235 miles due south of Israelite Bay on Australia's south coast,

and about 860 miles west of Cape Jaffa and BoatswainPoint, which are roughly

midway between Adelaide and Melbourne.
