Messenger RNA (mRNA) is the type of RNA that is transcribed directly from DNA during the process of transcription. It carries the genetic information from the DNA in the nucleus to the ribosomes in the cytoplasm for protein synthesis.
DNA creates messanger RNA by transcription and this mRNA reaches the site of protein synthesis. The message of type of protein to be synthsized is received by ribosomes from RNA and the ribosomes make protein from amino acids present in the cytoplasm.
