Nobody actually invented rice, rather, they discovered rice. To invent rice they would have had to use genetic modification on some other plant to create the rice, and that would take quite a while, with a specific goal in mind. Seeing as nobody had the ability to genetically modify rice back then, that means that there was no human inventor who made rice.
