I have o idea
Copernicus did not reject the idea that planetary orbits around our Sun were circular.
Geologists initially rejected Alfred Wegener's idea of continental drift because he lacked a plausible mechanism to explain how continents could move. Additionally, his evidence was mostly based on similarities in rock formations and fossils across continents, which were not considered sufficient at the time. It was only later with the development of plate tectonics theory that Wegener's ideas gained acceptance.
Alfred Wegener's theory was rejected because he could not prove how the continents actually moved. He showed evidence of fossils from Africa and South America, but still coul not prove the convection surrents going on underground. Other geologists did not believe in his theory just because he was a meteorologist, not a geologist like themselves.
dont ask me freak
The scientific means for proving his hypothesis had not yet been developed.
Plate tectonics, which refers to the concept of continental drift.
no because then they would know least about the world
He proposed the idea of continental dift, which is very cool!

evidence supporting the idea of sea-floor spreading.

Catholics did not reject the idea of infant baptism. Catholics have been baptizing eight-day old infants for a very long time.
mountains usually occur in narrow bands along the edges of continents
