You would need to change a circuits voltage if your adding a load that requires 220 when the present circuit supplies 120.

If you need to do so it's pretty simple! First purchase a double pole breaker at the proper amp rating. Next find the breaker in the panel that supplies power to the circuit you wish to change to 220. Turn off the breaker and pull it out. Find the neutral for that circuit. Then double check and make sure it's the right neutral. Then check one more time. Now take the neutral and the hot wire for that circuit and connect them to the double pole breaker. install the breaker into the panel and turn it on. If you connected the right neutral you'll have 220 on that circuit. If you didn't you'll know because you'll trip the breaker.

Can 120V appliance work with 220V?

120V appliance will not work on 220V. Use an instrument transformer or voltage regulator to adjust the high voltage to the desired level.

How do you get 120v from 220v socket?

You don't, at least, not legally.

Can you convert 120v household into 220v 3 phase for a machine?

No, you cannot directly convert a 120V household outlet to supply 220V 3-phase power for a machine. You would need a transformer to step up the voltage and a suitable 3-phase power source to provide the required power for the machine. It is recommended to consult with a licensed electrician to ensure proper installation and safety compliance.

Formula for 7.5va convert into Amperes load comsumption?

To convert 7.5 VA to amperes, you can use the formula: Amperes = VA / Volts. For example, if the voltage is 120V (typical for household circuits), then 7.5 VA / 120V = 0.0625 amperes.

Can you convert 110V to 220V?

No, it is not possible to directly convert 110V to 220V. You would need a voltage converter or transformer to do this safely. It is important to use the appropriate equipment to avoid damage to devices or potential hazards.

Can you use 120V lamps in Europe by just putting in a 240V bulb and a European adapter on the plug?

If all the components are rated to 220V, yes. Keep in mind that if the appliance was designed for 110V it may arc if 220 is run through it. If you don't know the device can handle 220V, don't run it at 220V. Chances are it was manufactured cleaply and cannot handle the extra voltage.

How do you change over so you can plug a 120V RV plug into a 240V single-phase twist-lock receptacle?

Is the 220V plug 220V only or 110/220V? (The former will have 3 prongs and the former will have 4) If your case is the latter just use the ground, neutral, and one of the hots. This will give you 120V single phase. If the case is the former you can't get 110V off that plug.
