I know motors draw more current on startup then stabalise. Unless the fuse is capable of handling the startup current drawn on higher wattage motors, the fuse will blow.

Would an electric motor start if its capacitor broke down?

No.

What is ramp up and ramp down speed in a motor?

Ramp up speed in a motor refers to the rate at which the motor accelerates from rest to its operating speed. Ramp down speed is the rate at which the motor decelerates from its operating speed to a stop. These settings are commonly used in motor control systems to control the motor's acceleration and deceleration rates for smoother operation and to reduce stress on the motor and connected equipment.

What could be the reasons for an electric window not working when it is down?

It's probably the motor or the linkage assembly

How does a hybrid car operate?

A hybrid car, operates on a gas motor, and an electric motor, charged by energy given off from the brakes or axles. The gas motor propels the car at the higher r.p.m.s, and the electric motor at the lower ones, because the batteries that power the electric motor aren't nearly as strong as a gas motor so to go faster the gas motor switches on, and you speed up. As you brake, or as the axles turn, the batteries recharge to power the electric motor, and the cycle restarts when you slow down.

Does the RPM of a motor vary if a load is added to the motor?

The speed of an electric motor is directly proportional to the frequency of supply. The rpm written on the name plate is the maximum operating speed for the motor design. Typically, for a squirrel cage induction motors, the speed is constant by design and this type of motor cannot operate for a long time at speeds below the rated value. It is true that loading affects motor speed to some extend but the electric motor will accelerate to the rated speed. If the loading is within the design parameters of the motor, the electric motor speed will not drop. What typically happens is that if the loading increases, the speed goes down, and the current increases. Because voltage is constant, this result in a high I2R loss in the windings and the motor circuit protection trips on thermal and electrical overload. The formula for electric motor speed is SRPM=(120f)/P. The above is for AC motors. If you are referring to a DC motor, what you have stated is correct. The motor will slow down as load is added. That is why you are not supposed to run many DC motors under no load conditions - they will overspeed.

Why will drivers side electric window not roll down when all others will?

Busted switch, motor or wiring.

Which motor is used in electric train and traction?

An electric train uses electric motors. Modern trains have many motors, they are mounted on the axles, one motor per axle. Some axles will be powered and have motors on them, some will not.

What would happen to an electric motor if the amount of current in the motor was reduced?

Depends on what sort of motor it was. If it was the sort you find in an ordinary electric drill, then it would slow down. But rememer, the only way you can reasonably reduce the current in to motor is to reduce the voltage in the supply. A motor takes what current it can, dependent on Ohm's Law. To reduce the current, reduce the voltage. But in a three-phase motor, the speed being dependent on the rotation of the phases, it would more or less stay the same. But this assumes it's not under load. A load would cause it to slow down.

Why might electric windows not go up or down?

Your window might not go up and down because the motor in it is bad. First check the swithches then if they have power you will need a new motor. I would run 12 volts directly into the motor to check it before I would buy a new one or replace it.

1996 Cadillac trunk will not close?

is it the electric pul down that isn't operating. If it is and you cant get a new one, remove it from the car, remove electric motor( the gear on the trunk hold down tends to break, it is plastic). Disassemble from the top metal plate(2 screws) raise it up and inspect the gear, if missing teeth just hold the gear and rotate the trunk hold down it will lower. Re install in car. You may have to adjust the heigh to get the trunk to shut correctly just raise or lower the hold down(you can do this while it is in the car)

Your rear drivers side window does not roll down where should you look to fix the problem the electric motor?

The if that window is the only one not going up and down, its the motor, or maybe even a short in the wiring. ** My 4 door went out one window at the time.

How many times an electric motor can be started in 1 hour?

It depends on the motor's design. One motor I recall could only be started three times in an hour, and then only in exigent circumstances. Others are not so limited. It comes down to the thermal load that is placed on the motor as a result of startup.
