Neon is a nonreactive Nobel gas that has a full valance shell with 8 electrons in it. It does not " need " to either give or receive electrons into it's valance shell to complete it's octet, so it is inert.

What are the atoms that don't react but stay as single?

The noble gases stay single. These include Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xeon, and radon.

Why you use he in helium neon laser?

helium is used for excitation of neon atoms in helium neon laser..

Do helium neon and argon combine with iron?

Helium and neon do not typically react with iron under normal conditions. Argon is inert and does not chemically react with iron.

Is helium and neon active?

Noble gases (such as helium, neon, argon etc) have completely filled orbitals. They have stable electronic configuration. Hence they are chemically inert (or do not react with other elements).

Which gas doesn't react at all?

Helium, Neon and Argon

What do you get when mixing hydrogen and neon?

When mixing hydrogen and neon, you would not form a compound since they are both noble gases and prefer to exist as individual atoms. Therefore, the result would be a mixture of hydrogen and neon gases.

What does neon react to?

Neon does not react with other elements.

Does helium and neon contain the same number of atoms?

no. are you stupid?

What elements exist as single atoms not bonded to other atoms?

Noble gases such as helium, neon, argon, krypton, and xenon exist as single atoms not bonded to other atoms. They are stable with a full outer electron shell, making them unreactive and existing as individual atoms in their natural state.

What elements will not react with any substance?

Inert (or noble) gasses, such as helium, argon, neon, etc.

Are Atoms which possess completed outer energy level or have a stable octet are inert?

Atoms with a complete outer energy level or stable octet are more stable and less likely to react with other atoms. Inert gases like helium, neon, and argon have full outer energy levels and do not readily react with other elements, making them chemically stable.

What element does neon react to?

Neon does not react with other elements.
