To change the date on a Rolex Oyster watch, first ensure the watch is not wound by pulling the crown out to the second position (one click). Rotate the crown counterclockwise until the date changes; this usually occurs around midnight. For watches with a quick-set feature, you can pull the crown out to the first position and turn it clockwise to adjust the date. Always avoid changing the date between 8 PM and 4 AM to prevent damaging the movement.
The Rolex Oyster Date Precision was first introduced in the 1950s, offering a precise timekeeping mechanism and a date feature. It was a popular model known for its accuracy and durability, showcasing Rolex's commitment to quality watchmaking.
The Rolex Day-Date (President) was introduced in 1956. Nicknamed the "President" when Rolex reportedly gave the watch to then-president Dight D. Eisenhower. The Rolex 14060M Oyster Perpetual Submariner (non date as you put it) is a chronometer - in fact labelled as a superlative chronometer like most Rolexes. I am not aware of a quartz version of the Submariner range. This has only been the case since Summer 2007. Before that it was a non-chronometer.
Rolex has a line of watches called Oysterquartz, they had a date model in steel and a day-date in gold. Google it for more info

Do you mean a particular model, or type of rolex? A Cosmograph Daytona chronograph in stainless steel is $13,000 compared to the Oyster Datejust at $4,000. Values can increase 12 X if the case is made of platinum and a final cost of well over $130,000 is possible if you opt to have your watch inset with diamonds.
There are a number of signs that a Rolex might be fake. If the price is very cheap then it is likely to be fake. One can also look for the magnification of the date on the watch which is 2.5 x on a real Rolex and often only 1.5 x on a fake Rolex. One can also tell by dipping the watch in water as all Rolex watches are water tight. If there is any leak inside the watch it is fake.
The manufacturer date is not located on any Rolex watches. Some of the watches do have a date stamp inside the case back. The date stamp usually has the quarter marking and last two digits of the year (EX: IV 67).The stamp does not indicate the actual date the watch was made. At least in previous decades, it did indicate when the watch case was fitted to a serialized movement.
You can identify a Rolex 1601 model by checking the reference number engraved between the lugs on the watch case or by reviewing the model number on the paperwork that accompanies the watch. Additionally, the 1601 model is a Datejust model that features a date display at 3 o'clock and a classic Rolex design with a fluted bezel.
