Why did Ukraine leave there country?

Mass waves of Ukrainians and other Eastern Europeans are leaving their countries, causing the population to drop in these countries. The main reason is that they are searching for a better life. Eastern Europe basically collapsed as a whole when the Soviet Union collapsed. It sent Eastern Europe into a depression, in which they are still recovering from, and in addition most countries were hit by the 2008 economic crisis. These countries are still very corrupt today, which is another factor in the large emigration rates.
