Amatsukaze is approximately Cosmic Wind, and Kamikaze, Divine wind. the latter term did not originally mean suicide= but was bestowed on suicidal air fighters in World War II and the name caught on. Kaze, by itself, means Wind, it is always used with a prefix.

What does the word 'roxas' mean in Japanese?

I don't believe it's an actual Japanese name. It's simply Sora's name with the letters switched around. Sora's name however means 'sky'. Roxas isn't an actual Japanese name. It is derived from Latin, with Roxas meaning "wind". So, "Sky" (sora) and "Wind" (roxas) share no known connection, but you can piece them together however way you want. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And now there is a new game coming out called Kingdom hearts Birth by Sleep And now It's Sora=Sky Roxas= Sora with an X And the new character Ventus=Wind
