i think a good ending in this story is that Esa is the one that was chosen to receive the honor because she is the one who stayed in his side when the poet was ill, she's the one who helped him in publishing his books, etc but she gave the honor to the poet's wife after she received it even though she is the one who is deserving to receive the honor..
