diagram to hook up switch leg
The tilting trim on your boat may be experiencing a hydraulic issue or a malfunctioning trim switch. When the boat is stationary, the hydraulic fluid can settle, allowing the trim to move up and down due to gravity or pressure changes. However, when you're moving, the pressure created by the water may prevent the trim from rising, possibly due to a blockage or leak in the system. It's best to check the hydraulic fluid level, inspect for leaks, and ensure the trim motor and switch are functioning properly.
On the right side of the engine (looking from behind) there is a switch with two press-on sides (up, down) or at the throttle control (obviously inside the boat )

to shut the fans on and off by yourself. remove the connector for the wires at the fan. hook a wire from the positive on fan motor to the inside toggle switch, do not hook to switch yet. run a wire from the positive on battery, hook to battery after hooking up switch. hook up the wires to the switch. then the battery. its up to you if you want to install a 15 amp fuse in line from battery to toggle switch.. you can also get the power from the fuse box instead of the battery. this should work for you. if not you may need to ground the other fan wire.

The easiest way to change the switch is to slide a small screwdriver between the old switch and the trim on the door towards the front of the car. It has to go in a bit more than a centimeter to release the catch on the switch. You can see how far by looking at the new switch. The small screw driver will stay in place by itself since it is squeezed between the switch and the trim. Place a coin or something hard on the trim close to the switch, and take another screwdriver and slip it under the switch and pry outwards against the coin. The switch should pop out and you can grab it and pull out far enough to disengage the cable. Then just hook up the new one and pop it back into place.
To hook up a 3-way switch in a circuit, you need to connect the common terminal of one switch to the power source, the common terminal of the other switch to the light fixture, and the travelers of both switches together. This allows you to control the light from two different locations.
