It probably did, but if so it was not reflected in the plays which Shakespeare was writing at the time of Hamnet's death, viz. around 1596. Shakespeare was very close about his feelings and did not tell everyone about them (of if he did, they did not make note of it).

Did Hamnet's death effect Shakespeare's career?

Hamnet was Shakespeare's son, and it affected Shakespeare financially, although I'm not exactly sure how. William Shakespeare was terrified of the plague because he lost a lot of his brothers and sisters to it during the first major outbreak of the Bubonic plague. This is what Shakespeare's only son, Hamnet, died from, so you can imagine his devastation. Also...affect with an 'a' is a verb, effect with an 'e' is a noun. (Cause and effect, This affects that)

Shakespeares son Hamnet, died when he was 11. The cause of his death is unknown.

What did Hamnet's death mean to Shakespeare?

We will never know the extent of his feeling. Death of children was not an unusual thing at that time and people did not get as frantic about it as they do now. They got sad, but they also accepted that this sort of thing happened. Shakespeare himself had watched his sister Anne die at the age of eight. He was not apparently in Stratford at the time Hamnet died, but was on tour in Kent. It might have taken some time for the news to get to him, by which time Hamnet was likely already buried. Did this affect him profoundly? We have so little record of his emotional life, we cannot know.

How did shakespeare son's death influence his plays?

Some people say that the death of his son Hamnet influenced his plays because since then he wrote tragic stories. But it isn't true. Hamnet died in 1596, and the plays that Shakespeare wrote from 1596 to 1600 were some of his most joyous and exuberant: Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Much Ado About Nothing, Henry V, As You Like It, Twelfth Night. Only Julius Caesar is a tragedy. Then around 1600, something happened and he started to write tragedies and darker comedies. We don't know why he had this change, but it certainly wasn't the death of his son. Hamnet's death did not appear to affect his playwriting at all.

Did William Shakespeare impact society?

William Shakespeare influenced all of the drama which followed him by setting a higher standard for character development, pacing, dramatic structure and plot. Although the lines Shakespeare wrote for his characters are amazingly potent, and most actors want to be able to say them, their style did not affect later playwrights significantly.
