yap. hey say jump has their newest single and it's entitled Romeo and Juliet. you can watch it on YouTube already.
The lyric goes "I just want you to know I want to be your Romeo. Hey, Juliet." The singer is alluding to the story of Romeo and Juliet saying that he would like to be a Romeo to her Juliet, which is to say, her lover. Apart from the fact that Romeo and Juliet are lovers, there is no connection in the lyrics with the Romeo and Juliet story. Indeed, from the attitude of the girl in the song, the song might have been more appropriately titled "Hey Rosaline"

I believe it is called "A Time for Us", (or A Place for us). I could hum the tune for you, but humming doesn't come through answers.com. I also think the writers were Ferante and Ticher (but don't quote me on it; these will only give you a basis to continue your.research).
Juliet and romeo carry out their plan to be married with the help of the nurse, who cares deeply for Juliet. Friar Lawrence also helps by marrying them both hoping that the marriage would end the feud b/n the families. -Lm hope that helps!
hey there! I'm in 8th grade and i took general music this semester and we watched west side story. my teacher explained to us that the play romeo and Juliet is similar to west side story because tony thinks maria is dead and he wants to die. Juliet thinks romeo is dead and she kills herself. then, maria sees tony dead, and tells them to kill her too, like romeo drinking poison when he sees Juliet. hope this answers your question! p.s. I'm not positive about who died first in romeo and Juliet, but i know that is how they are similar.

Friar Lawrence's first speech in Romeo and Juliet emphasizes the idea that both good and evil exist in everything, and that nature created herbs with both healing and poisonous properties. This speech sets the tone for the theme of duality and foreshadows the tragic events that will unfold in the play.
Because they literally fall in love at first sight. Romeo sees Juliet at the Capulet's part and goes "hey, shes pretty" and charms her and they end up kissing, getting married and dying in 3 days. If you notice, all they ever talk about is eachother's physical characteristics and how eachothers eyes are like stars.
