before trying to replace the ignition switch try spraying a small amount of lubricant into the keyhole and insert key and wiggle it in the switch to see if the keepers are stuck. if it works it could save a lot of time and money
If there isn't much gas left in the tank (like, a quarter of a tank) then you can jack the front of the car up in the air before you undo the bolts. With the gas tipped back, you might be able to change the pump out without spilling anything. Keep a bucket handy though!

without flaw is an adjective. without flaw means perfection.when someone is without flaw they are perfect. to be without flaw can be used to descirbe a feeling but never a person . Flaws means that you are perfect and nothng is wrong with you. Example: Her tooth was missing in the front and she thinks that is her flaw.
The stage without the stage directions is nothing!
You can replace the ignition lock cylinder in your 1994 Pontiac Firebird without removing the steering will. Remove the retaining ring at the top of the ignition cylinder. The ignition cylinder will slide out.
You drill out the exsisting ignition switch!!
I have not seen a way to do it without removing the steering wheel (and airbag).
The key and the ignition lock are badly worn. Try a different key if it doesn't fix it you need to replace the ignition lock.

You would have to disconnect the wires from the stock ignition, so you would have to tear it out unless you could find a way to do it without it.
THAT DEPENDS ON WHAT IT'S DOING. DOES IT TURN OVER WITHOUT STARTING? FUEL? SPARK?? DOES IT DO NOTHING AT ALL? DEAD BATTERY??? DOES IT JUST CLICK WHEN YOU TURN THE IGNITION? STARTER????
If you pick up a Haynes or Chilton manual for the car, it will show you how to remove and replace the ignition switch. You might be able to find out why it won't turn without having to replace it. Another option would be to call a locksmith.
Your key switch contact inside the ignition switch cylinder may be stuck closed. You may need to replace the switch or the ignition key cylinder. On a Ford and GM, the contact is replaceable without the ignition switch, but requires the steering wheel removed to replace it. Not sure what is required for the Lebaron, but it is not a major task to do for a mechanic.
yes of course.... anywhere that kas a key cutter can make one. they do not have the electronic sensor in the key and ignition so any spare can be used.
No. The problem lies in the starter itself. Replace the starter and the vehicle will start....
Call a locksmith. They have the tools necessary to take the lock apart and pop the key out. Or at least they have the tools to pull the key out - perhaps without taking anything apart.
