Apart from telling Romeo that Juliet is not really dead, giving the apothecary a whole bunch of money so he doesn't have to sell poisons in order to get his next meal might work.

Who says 'My poverty but not my will consents' in Romeo and Juliet?

The apothecary says this when he sells Romeo poison.

Why does romeo say that he pays the apothecary's poverty and not his will?

Because the apothecary said that he would sell the poison to Romeo only because he needed the money so badly (selling poison is illegal in Mantua). Therefore, the apothecary's poverty (state/situation) is forcing him to take Romeo's offer, not because he wants to disobey the law. Romeo is paying the apothecary's need, not his want.

What did romeo buy from the apothecary?

With money. The apothecary was poor and would do anything for some spare ducats.

Why does romeo think the apothecary will sell him poison?

Romeo thinks Juliet is dead Doesn't want to live without her The apothecary is poor, gets paid

How do you think events would have turned out if the apothecary has refused to sell poison to romeo?

If the apothecary had refused to sell poison to Romeo, Romeo may have sought out another means to end his life, possibly resulting in a different turn of events for the tragic end of Romeo and Juliet. Alternatively, Romeo may have abandoned his plan altogether, leading to a potential alternative resolution for the story.

What motivates the apothecary to risk his life to help Romeo?

The Importance of Romeo's conversation with the Apothecary gives insight of the events which were going to unfold later in the play. Specifically, you can guess why Romeo is buying deadly poison.

Why does apothercarary sell Romeo the poison?

At first, the apothecary was not going to sell Romeo the poison because to do so was against the law and punishable by death. But Romeo convinced him by saying that he was so poor and starved that he should just sell it to him anyway. If he didn't sell him the poison, he probably would have died of starvation or disease. Romeo said that either way he might die, so he should sell him to poison to go buy some food. long story short; Romeo uses money to convice him since the apothercaray was a very poor man

If you were in this play which character would you be and why. romeo and Juliet?

Because I am old and poor, I'd be the Apothecary.

How many men could the poison kill in romeo and Juliet?

If you look at the immediate causes of the deaths of the people in the play who die, Romeo caused the death of Tybalt (he stuck a sword through him), Paris (he skewered him too) and himself (he drank poison). With the other deaths, you can argue that the other people would never have died if it hadn't been for Romeo, but you can create similar arguments for just about everyone in the play. The fact is that Tybalt, not Romeo, sticks a sword in Mercutio, Juliet, not Romeo, sticks a knife in herself, and Romeo's mother must be made of feeble stuff if she dies because Romeo has to move to a different town.

Why does Romeo pay the pharmacist?

The pharmacist would not have given him the poison he wanted if Romeo had not paid him. The druggist was so desperate for money that he would break the law and sell poison, but he would never have given it to Romeo or anyone without being well-paid.

Who was talking about poison in Romeo and Juliet?

Shakespeare gives us no detail of the poison Juliet uses. And although he does not give any detail, the poison most likely used would have been Canterella.Canterella gave the illusion that the user was dead seeing as it cause it's victims to give no noticeable pulse. Victims were asleep for four hours. Here is an interesting discussion can be had about what poisons are at work here, nonetheless:http://mb.sparknotes.com/mb.epl?b=859&m=1336762
