Hello! I've participated in this pagaent, and here are some tips!
1.) Never lie to the judges to make yourself look better. Its best if you just act like yourself. 2.) Raise a lor of money for the pageant! NAM is really costly, and there are many competions that you have to pay for in order to participate. So raise as much money as you can from family members, friends, and anyone in general! 3.) Be friendly! Try and make friends with as much people as you can! It really helps, and it'll be less awkward competeting against them! 4.) Overall, just have fun! It can be stressful at times, but try to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime oppurtunity as much as you can!
Good luck! :)
as many times as you possibly can! you cant win the same age division though.
I THINK IT DEPENDS ON their own style or creatiity in joining the pageant... do your best and judge will give u a highest percentage...

The first Miss American was crowned in Atlantic City, NJ in 1921; Margaret Gorman, the former Miss Washington D.C. African American women were not included in the contest until 1970. Vanessa Williams was the first African American woman to win the contest, in 1984. Photographs of Miss Williams that appeared in Penthouse magazine were revealed shortly after her ascent and she relinquished the crown.

Hi! Im this year's preteen cover girl! There are a lot of adavntages! for one, you have the same benifits as a state queen, but you dont have to run around as much, because only the state queens have to do the benificial things! You also get to participate in a much smaller, calmer national pageant, and its much easier to win!
