Organizational behavior is an interdisciplinary body of knowledge with strong ties to the behavioral sciences-psychology, sociology, and anthropology-as well as to allied Social Sciences such as economics and political science. OB is unique, however, in its goals of integrating the diverse insights of these other disciplines and applying them to real-world problems and opportunities. The ultimate goal of OB is to improve the performance of people, groups, and organizations and to improve the quality of work life overall.
