the poet is standing in the street of fruit stalls in the darkness of the evening where only a dim and faint light of a candle is visible.while standing,the poet is cherishing strange feeling. on one side, he is disturbed by darkness prevailing everywhere but ,on the other side,he is enjoying the presence of small an innocent children crowding in the fruit stalls,buying the fruit of their own choice and range and enjoying the scene.this minimizes his worries and he is lost in the happy surrounding.
