As an employee and customer, I don't see any weaknesses at all.

They are probably the biggest pub/restaurant company (except McDonalds, The Carvery, Pizza Hut etc) and have huge sales and growth every year.

I was trained exceptionally well, in both Kitchen Associate roles and in my Challenge 21-25 bar work. They have good leadership and I genuinely enjoy working there - the pay ain't bad either!

They do however require long hours from staff, which is both exhausting and leaves little time for holidays and breaks. The range of food is very wide; from curries to steaks, ice cream and pastas, making it often difficult to learn, very rewarding, but difficult.

JDW pubs/bars/restaurants are also extremely clean - especially the kitchen - as in ''finish'' or close down of the kitchen, hours of cleaning and disinfecting with sanitizer are done every single night. ''Contact points'' (handles, drawers, doors) are also cleaned constantly - meaning NO contamination occurs. My pub in Scotland has never received any complaints in its opening in early 2012, and funnily enough, JDW haven't been in the papers or news for anything even close to bad! We generally receive good publicity, and we're very clean, as statistics and lack-of-bad-publicity shows. The proof is all around.

I enjoy the food too - even before I became an employee. I wouldn't call anything a weakness - their huge growth and profit show no weaknesses too!

Possible minor weaknesses:

- long, hard hours for staff, making it an often difficult and tiring place to work

That's it really! I highly recommend.
