no, what is peace when there is war? I believe that war is out of greediness and pettiness and war should not have happened at all.
Historically, enemies can become friends, following a war. For example, in WW II, the US fought against what were then known as the Axis powers, Germany, Japan, and Italy. This was an extremely bitter war, with tremendous violence and hatred and millions of deaths. The US even used the atomic bomb against Japan, which so far is the only time in history that the atomic bomb has been used in war. However, following WW II, the US became very good friends with all three of its former enemies, and no new hostilities are expected. I could also point out that the most bitter conflict of all, during WW II, was between Germany and France, and yet now these two countries are both members of the European Union and are very close friends who, we can reasonably predict, will never again have reason to go to war with each other. So yes, peace can be attained after war. It is not impossible.
The peace sign is a universal symbol for peace and anti-war movements. It was first popularized in the 1950s and 1960s as a gesture of non-violence and has since become a widely recognized symbol for unity and harmony.
It is an antonym of war. I'm not sure what you mean... the word peace can't be an antonym unless it's compared to its opposite, such as war.
War is not the solution for peace. Peace can be achieved through diplomacy, communication, and mutual understanding. Resorting to war often leads to destruction and loss of life, making it counterproductive to the goal of establishing lasting peace.
the peace symbol has a speacial meaning to it. some say it means just peace. well really what it is, is a upside down w and the circle would make it an upright w for no more war or nuclear war. the bigger halfs of the symbol is for on the left the ways of there living. on the right is there sexual attitudes. the two smaller parts on the left mean love for music and the right mean do drugs. like shrooms or marijuana anything natural. that's what the peace symbol really means!
yes war is necessary for peace. The people who say war never solved anything have obviously never heard of slavery, nazism, or merceless dictatorships...so i guess the answer to the question is sometimes. Guess now the question would be who should determine when war is necessary...
Homer Albers has written: 'American inconsistencies in international affairs and the objects to be attained by this war' -- subject(s): World War, 1914-1918, Peace, International relations
Yes, Buddhism promotes peace in a couple ways. The first peace that Buddhism teaches is peace in oneself. When one finds peace with themselves then they can finally work towards a greater peace for all of mankind.
This means that you should not fight to get peace
they didn't really. Not in this war. The very existence of a Continental Congress was an issue for war.
through diplomacy and strength in arms
Peace
Peace. War and Peace is a book.
When there is war, there is fighting. People are at odds with each other over one thing or another. When there is not war, there is peace. The word used for when there is no war is peace.
there is no peace in war. we need to stop these wars and give peace a chance.
Peace is not a passive process. It takes a great deal of effort and cooperation to maintain and cultivate Peace. In this sense, Peace is not the absence of War, Peace is the opposite of War.
In order to have peace,There should be war.......
The Peace War was created in 1984-08.
