Silk: opaque Plexiglas (coloured): transparent or translucent depending on the thickness and color of the material
Transparent you can see through, so this could be coloured plastic or coloured glass which you can see through. Invisible is not visible to the eye.
The colored plastic that only allows certain colors of light to pass through is called a color filter or a gel filter. These filters work by absorbing or blocking certain wavelengths of light while transmitting others, resulting in a filter that appears as a specific color.
White light.
It works like this: You take a bottle of Pepper and a white cloth. You rub the insides of the (full) bottle until the white cloth is totally and completely coloured by the pepper. You then shine light through the cloth onto a beaker full of water.
Colored objects appear colored because they reflect or emit certain wavelengths of light while absorbing others. When light interacts with the surface of the object, certain colors are absorbed and others are reflected back to our eyes, creating the perception of color.
Yes, plastic lids are generally translucent. However, they don't necessarily have to be.

There is no reason why day curtains have to be translucent. It is down to personal choice. Translucent materials allows the occupier to see that there is daylight outside without having to pull aside the curtains. Many people prefer a yellowish coloured translucent material as it is more sun-like and mimics a sunny day (even in Winter!).
Uncut diamonds can be formed into pyramid-shaped stones, sometimes with the bottoms of two pyramids joined at the base. However, most uncut diamonds are irregular in their shape. Gem-quality stones are transparent and coloured raw diamonds are clearly coloured and transparent.
It's transparent, except where they naturally have coloured organelles such as chloroplasts or starch granules.
When light passes through a colored transparent material, certain wavelengths of light are absorbed by the material while others are transmitted. The transmitted light has a different color because it is missing the wavelengths that were absorbed by the material. This causes the light to appear as a different color when it exits the material.
