I don't see any in this view. I guess it used water from a river for cooling. It is all shutdown now, so the cooling towers if they ever existed could have been demolished, but I don't remember seeing any in early photos at the time of the disaster.
The damaged reactor was completely devastated, nothing could be done except encase it to prevent radioactive leakage. The other reactors were operated for a while but are now all shutdown, I think the EU got together and put pressure on the Ukraine to stop them, with some compensation.
