Nuclear energy makes up 80% of France's energy intake. The USA has over 100 power plants and many countries are building more nuclear power plants (like India and China.) Poland is starting on Nuclear energy in 2020.

Do other countries ulitize nulear power more or less than US?

Several countries utilize nuclear power more than the US, including France, which relies heavily on nuclear energy for electricity generation. Countries such as China and Russia also have significant nuclear power programs. However, there are also countries that utilize nuclear power less than the US, such as Germany and Japan, which have reduced their reliance on nuclear energy in recent years.

There are currently (year 2013) 31 countries having nuclear power reactors. The rest are not having nuclear power.

Does France import nuclear power?

There are cross-border lines in Europe, so there may be flows in either direction depending on load demands at different times, but in general France has plenty of its own nuclear power so I doubt it. There may be power trades, but France is a net exporter of power.

What other countries that uses uranium for?

Countries that use uranium for energy production include the United States, France, China, Russia, and Canada. Uranium is used in nuclear power plants to generate electricity through a process called nuclear fission. These countries rely on uranium as a key fuel source to meet their energy needs.

How does it produce energy?

France relies largely on nuclear power plants to provide its electricity. It does not have significant uranium resources, meaning it must purchase its uranium from other countries. France, nevertheless, decided to take the jump to nuclear and now produces 70% of its electricity from nuclear reactors, using its 59 nuclear reactors. It also sells power to adjacent countries.

How can nuclear energy generate electricity for the home and industry?

This is done in nuclear power plants, the heart of which is a nuclear reactor which produces heat from nuclear fission, this heat then produces steam and hence electricity in a similar way to a fossil fired plant. there are over 100 such reactors in the US, and others in Canada, UK, France, Russia, Japan, and other countries.
