It's more of a personal opinion stated from whether you believe in states' rights or federal government. However, more conclusions lead to the division of a country such as the Civil War with the Bleeding Sumner incident, where one political party member (Republican Sumner) verbally attacked a Southern Democrat (Brooks) and Brooks beat Sumner cripple with a cane. This doesn't sound like a united country to me. They were meant to unite Americans, but in uniting, we have divided; now the majority of the population is concerned about what their party believes, not what is right or just. Personally, I'm not a fan, and I believe we should have listened to Washington's Farewell Address when he warned America to stay away from political parties.
