What is the sign of a crazy person?

There is no single sign of insanity. As with all illnesses there are varying symptoms."The definition of insanity is: Doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result."- Albert Einstein

What effect did Einstein's theory of relativity and Freud's theory of the unconscious have on the public?

Many people really had no idea what they were speaking about. When you think about it, it is hard to imagine the space actually bends and also that time is connected gravity. Of course what they thought depends on which of Einstein's theories were discussed. As for Freud, his ideas about mental development were as hard to understand as Einstein's theories of space-time. He used psychoanalysis to help people work through their problems. Not everyone agrees with his ideas plus the cost of years of psychoanalysis is a huge drawback.

How did propaganda help keep German people under control?

It was done very slowly over a number of years, in a way, as early as 1937. The Nazi's spread stories around about how foreigners, [Jews] sold Germany in WW1, which was why it lost. The foreigners made money, while the Germans were starving. Forgetting to mention, that these 'Foreigners' were in fact Loyal Germans, though Jewish. Many had in fact fought on the side of Germany in WW1. They also 'forgot' to mention, that the factories, that were owned by German Jews, were better places to work, with higher wages, and better conditions, than those owned by Germans. A true case of 'selective' reporting!. So in a very slow, and it has to be said, a very clever way, the Public started to accept what they heard, and so they accepted that something has to be done to rid Germany of these 'Foreigners'. Also, at the same time, the Nazi's told the public, that Germans living in the east, were being attacked by Polish Gangs, and Germany [in the form of the Nazi's] would rescue our poor people. So Germany would teach these Poles a lesson, and invade them. It was all a set up, even to the Nazi's attacking a Radio station on the Polish/German Border, and leaving dead 'Soldiers' behind in Polish Uniforms. [They were Camp Victims, killed on the spot in fact]. Then there was the Fire in the Government Building in Berlin, which was reported as a Communist plot, [in fact done by the SS]. Germany was under attack by Foreigners, as was reported in the Nazi controlled News Papers, and so it was not long before Germany was at War. The people who saw through the 'plots' were sent to the Camps. The Camps kept the people under control, as well as the lies.

How can propaganda can help further a cause?

Propaganda can often to indispensable to a political or social cause. It has the ability to let the masses know about your particular view of idea set. Furthermore it may often sway individuals to your cause. Propaganda's ability to control and shift public opinion can be seen in many places throughout human history. In Soviet Russia, the industrialization of England, and of course throughout the World Wars. Propaganda is of course the spread of information that is prujudiced towards a certain point of view and ignores contradictory information that may modify or challenge the propaganda's purpose which is to support a course of action. The most dreadful example of this was in Nazi Germany. Its propaganda became a tool of the Nazi goverment to dehumanize Jews.

How can people be so mean?

People are mean normally if they're in a bad mood, have been mean to or something similar to this!! People are in bad moods often and I'm sometimes in a bad mood myself but my friends and family will remind me not to take it out on other people, but some people can't help it, and have a tendency of taking it out on other people. If you ever do this or if I ever do this I hope you apologize or try to remember to.. Or,, just try not to even be mean!! People have feelings and it hurts when they get hurt!!
