In my opinion trains are better than planes. Trains have a better and more interesting history that dates back to the fifteenth century. Trains are better for the environment and get you to just as many places and plane's. OK, they can't get you to America but if someone invested then I bet they could get you to America, it would be a tunnel like the one from England to France, except across the Atlantic Ocean and not the English channel.
Some great inventors are involved with trains and trains helped with the industrial revolution. If trains had not been invented then we might not have today's thriving enterprise system.
