Las Vegas is not served by Amtrak trains. Kingman, AZ is the closest station. If you are leaving from Newark or Trenton, you can take the Cardinal to Chicago. At Chicago, you will switch to the California Zephyr to Kingman, AZ. Amtrak runs thruway bus services to Las Vegas from Kingman.

Yes, but not directly. Most routes will require a bus trip to Los Angeles or to Kingman Arizona. At either of those points you can take the Amtrak train on the Southwest Chief Line to Chicago and then take teh Lake Shore Limited Line to Penn Station.

You can book the entire trip from Amtrak, you don't necessarily need to purchase a separate bus journey to get to the Amtrak train route.
