Actually, there are three trains from Chicago to California. The California Zephyr goes to Denver, Salt Lake City and San Francisco on a daily basis. The Southwest Chief goes to Albuquerque and Los Angeles on a daily basis. The Texas Eagle goes to Little Rock, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Los Angeles three days each week leaving Chicago on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and Los Angeles on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.
