I am told it costs 15-18 euros ($30-$40) to take a taxi from the taxi rank located outside the Gare du Nord to the Eiffel Tower. Do NOT call a taxi on the phone or they will start their taxi meter from wherever they are in Paris when they receive your call, and by the time they pick you up at Gare du Nord, you will already have a charge on the meter! This is legal and they all do it. That is why it is important to either take a taxi from a rank of perhaps hail one on the street. Also, laws allow them to charge a higher rate after a certain hour at night all the way until mid morning of the next day. Laws also alllow them to charge a higher rate if you are stuck in traffic, or moving very slowly. And NEVER take an unregulated or "gypsy" taxi-they can and usually will promise one price to take you somewhere and then demand more when they get there. It is generally thought to be unsafe as well.

It took around 300 people to construct the Eiffel Tower in France. However, that is not allowing for all the workers who made the iron, transported it, and did other jobs related to the Tower.
the rail liaison between Chartres and Paris arrives in the Gare Montparnasse (hosting the westward trains from Paris). The fare ranges from 13€ (second class) to 21 € (first class) and the trip is one hour and five minutes.
It is "How did you fare in the exam?"
