Take the LIRR (Long Island Railroad) from the Belmont station (at the western end of Belmont Park, on Cross Island Parkway, at approximately 100th Avenue) to Jamaica station.

Alternate subway directions: if there are problems or services outages on the J-Z line or N train, you can instead take the Manhattan-bound E from Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue to 7th Avenue in Manhattan. Transfer at 7th Avenue to the Downtown D train to 62nd Street-New Utrecht Avenue.
From the D, you'll exit on New Utrecht Avenue, between 62nd and 61st Streets. Walk 1.5 blocks north to 60th Street, then turn left and walk 1.5 blocks west on 60th Street to 1260-1278 60th Street, between 13th and 12th Avenues.
To get from 905 60th St, Brooklyn, to Yankee Stadium, you can take the D train from the 62nd Street station. Ride the D train towards the Bronx and transfer to the B or D at the 155th Street station, which is a short walk to Yankee Stadium. The entire journey typically takes around an hour.
Unfortunately the number 2 train does not go to Rector St in Brooklyn. There is not a train that goes to Rector St. However there are many buses and taxis that do go to Brooklyn.
