District Line
The London Underground goes through all parts of London and resides in England. That said, it does make stops throughout the United Kingdom and on a daily basis.
The District Line of the London Underground has 60 stations. It runs from Upminster in the east to Wimbledon, Richmond, and Ealing Broadway in the west, serving various key areas throughout London. The line is known for its distinctive green color on the Tube map.
274 tube stations in the network - this includes station on the Metropolitan line for example which goes outside of London, but I hope this still answers the question! This figure does not include any exclusively over ground stations (ie: National networks like City Thameslink/ Camden Road/ Peckham Rye/ etc, nor tram stops [additional 38 stops], nor DLR [additional 29 stations] )
Tickets for Underground, buses, the Dockland Light Railways and other forms of mass transit in London can be bought at machines in any Underground station, at certain bus stops, London Overground stations, most National Rail stations and the London airports, as well as, using cash, on board most London buses. Beyond this, London has, more and more, moved toward a 'smart' card called an Oyster card. This card can be purchased from any Oyster Ticket Shop, found in hundreds of shops, newsagents and off-licenses all over London. Oyster cards can be either set up with a Pay-As-You-Go credit amount, or used in a Travelcard setting, where-in you set an amount of time, and a number of zones, and are then free to travel within this set limit. Either type of usage is valid on all forms of mass transit in the Greater London area, and are notably cheaper than paying cash for your travels.
There was no underground railroad in other countries. The underground railroad was not a real railroad, but one that was a series of stops that moved escaped slaves north.
Trains stops in the UK were oftenreferred to as HALTS or STOPS (these days they are probably just called stations !).
Depending on the time of day and congestion, the taxi journey between Liverpool Street and Euston stations in London should take 20-30 minutes. A more reliable route would be the Underground, using either the Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan or Circle lines one stop to Moorgate than three stops on the Northern Line.
The train from Birmingham International arrives into London Euston, you'd then need to get to St Pancras from there. It is only a few stops on the underground.
