Can Muslims adopt a child

Islam teachings per Quran and prophet Muhammad persuades Muslims to be kind to orphans, taking care of them and their properties (if any), and to to be kind and helpful to them. So, adopting a child or an orphan is not forbidden in Islam but on condition that not giving him/her the adopter own name or the adopter own family name. The adpoted person should keep his own father and family name or given a fake family name.

Yes, you can, however, there are 2 points of view that DON'T contradict each other 1) The prophet said that a person who adopts an orphan will be in Paradise with that orphan. The prophet adopted a former slave, and treated him as his own. 2) The Qur'an says that the foster parent must remember that he/she is not the orphans biological parent, so there are some things they can and cannot do. For example, the foster parent cannot give the 'child' the property, because they did not give birth to the child. Also, the relatives are NOT considered 'blood' relatives.
