The challenges of religious leaders include;

1. Spirituality and Ego: Everybody looks up to a religious leader, but he looks up to no one except God. However, most times when he miss track with God and God turn back on him because God cannot behold sin, he finds it very difficult to confess his sins in front of his followers. This is exactly why it is very rare to see a man of God or even popular church workers responding to an Altar Call. They often imagine "what will people say?", "how will those who are looking up to me spiritually see me and still respect me?". You see: all these questions arise from his personal ego. Most times this phenomenon can ruin a leader's ministry because, the more a leader refuses to acknowledge a fault in his spiritual stand, the deeper he falls away from intimacy with God. Jesus the Christ shows a strong example on the cross of Calvary. There on the Cross, He was carrying our sins, but God the father didn't bother acknowledge the fact that the sins where not Jesus' but that of you and me (the whole world). So, God turn His back on Jesus. Yet, in the presence of us all, Jesus confronted God by asking "father why have you forsaken me?" (Mark 15:34)..... "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing" (Luke 23:34).

2. Women: If a church leader must succeed, he must pray and discipline himself on the issue of women. The Bible is clear on this matter. A bishop (leader) must be a husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, well behaved, hospitable and wise speaker (1 Timothy 3:2). A religious leader who cannot control the direction of his manhood when alone with a woman should know that this is a challenge. As a religious leader, women are bound to always be around you. It is naturally so. The devil has capitalized on this legal ground to trap many careless leaders. So, when they fall into this kind of trap, the devil then use point 1 above to draw them farther away from God who cannot behold or listen to an unrepentant sinner. As a religious leader, you are not the first to dwell among women, but you are not expected to even allow how appalling they are come into your mind for a second. Jesus had a lot of lady friends among whom were harlots like Mary Magdalene used to be. Those harlots didn't just repent at once and started dressing properly. To be blunt, remember that at that time Jesus was a human like you and I with "Penis" in the midst of his two legs (John 1:14). The only remedy to this challenge is a constant realization that we are not the ones these ladies are seeing in us as leaders but Jesus the Christ (Gal 2:20). When ever you are so tempted, let the devil know that except he could lure Jesus into sleeping with those many women around him before he can get you convinced too.

3. Mammon: The constant avarice for wealth have swayed a lot of Christian leaders away from the knowledge of truth. The lack of wealth and riches on the other hand is a cog in the wheel of leadership progress. Money is good but the greed and inordinate desire for wealth and riches is what the bible rightly describes as the root of evil. That is why a lot of discombobulating stories have been truthfully told about some supposedly great church leaders. Riches is yours birth right as a believer because Jesus the Christ became poor that we might become rich (2 Cor 8:9) ....and also have everlasting life (John 3:16b). The hidden riches of the gentiles are yours to posses already. So why do you soil your hands with church funds?

4. Power Mirage: Many leaders believe that God has not left them despite the fact that they have faulted the path of righteousness because they can still see the demonstration of power in their ministry. Please, note that the demonstration of the power God is meant to increase God's glory and for the emaciation of men. Once a man is anointed by God, He does not take away the anointing, but H can transfer a greater dimension of that anointing to someone even under that leader. Such examples are Prophet Eli to Prophet Samuel and King Saul to King David (Read 1 Samuel). This has been a lot of challenge to Christian leaders. Instead of followers pointing their faults, they are also blindfolded by the mirage of power being demonstrated through their ministry. Remember when King Saul failed in the assignment of destroying the Amalekaites, God repented from making him a king (leader) but that didn't stop God from miraculously using Israel to conquer Philistines even till Saul's death. Read 1 Sam 15.

Thank you.

A:If religious people of all persuasions can contribute to world peace, all to the good. What effect do religious rules have in the modern world?

Religious rules have various effects in the modern world today. For instance, certain religious perspectives help us to differentiate between immoral decisions. Religion has positive attributes (affects) not only in the modern world, but also in our lives. We all have free-will, which can help us control whether or not we wish to follow God`s righteous path or either go astray. There are many benefits em-bedded (in-between) religious rules and guidelines, each having their own rational causes for being there in the first place.

Can non religious people use or learn from religious ideas to do with suffering?

not at allThey can only learn from religious ideas if they accept religion and practice them. I don't agree with that idea because people around the world have different religions and culture and they want to stick with their own believes then how come? non religious people use or learn from religious ideas. I am pretty sure its not impossible because nothing can be impossible in the world.
