God became angry with the pharaoh, so he sent 10 terrible plagues into Egypt. One included insects called locusts devouring the Egyptian crops. Another, the Nile River's water turned to blood, finally God sent an angel to kill every firstborn son in every Egyptian family. (This one persuaded the pharaoh.) Weeping over his own dead son, the pharaoh gave in. Moses began to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt. Soon, the pharaoh changed his mind. The Egyptian Army chased after the Hebrews and nearly caught up at the edge of the Red Sea.
