The Romans killed Jesus. This has been acknowledged by two Popes and numerous Christian theologians.

Only the Romans ever used crucifixion. They crucified around 250,000 Jews in total.

Jews were an oppressed minority; they had no power to sentence anyone to death.

Jesus was charged with sedition - this was a crime against ROME. Again, nothing to do with the Jews.

If you read the Christian account of the 'trial' of Jesus, you'll realise that it makes no sense as it describes 'customs' that NEVER EXISTED in Judaism, ever!

The 'trial' as depicted in the Christian bible, violates ALL of the Jewish laws, which makes no sense, since The Bible also states that the Jews were very 'legalistic' and NEVER violated the Jewish religious rules!

Jesus was one of MANY young Jewish preachers who claimed to be the 'maschiach'. He taught basic Judaism. He was a big threat to Roman rule - but no threat to Judaism whatsoever.
