"Through Faith WE UNDERSTAND that the worlds [the universe] were framed BY THE WORD OF GOD, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." (Heb.11:3 KJV)
[Same verse; NLT New Living Translation]: "By Faith we understand that the entire universe was formed AT GOD'S COMMAND, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen."
By Faith... by BELIEVING God's Word [which Jesus says "IS TRUTH" - John 17:17]... the Bible tells us that God made the earth and "the worlds" [the universe]; all "matter"... all that the human eye CAN SEE... FROM SPIRIT, which the human eye CAN'T SEE!
This "theory," as perceived by unbelieving man... is proved by studying what God has made; by "studying matter."
The Truth of "the matter" is that "all matter BURNS!" Everything we see [whatever its composition, density, etc.] possesses a "stage of combustion;" a temperature at which "it catches fire and burns." Ray Bradbury's novel "Fahrenheit 451" is a case in point, stating parenthetically in its title: "The temperature at which book paper catches fire and burns."
Fire is "energy"... "the ability to do work," as the elusive definition goes. And ENERGY IS INVISIBLE to the human eye; it's SPIRIT! Energy is POWER!
"Energy" - a "DYNAMIC QUALITY"... the capacity of acting, or being active... a usually positive SPIRITUAL FORCE..." (Free Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary).
In Jesus' "prayer outline" that men call "The Lord's Prayer"... He reveals about His Father, whom John tells us IS SPIRIT [John 4:24]:
"...For thine is the Kingdom, and THE POWER, and the Glory, for ever. Amen." (Matt.6:13 KJV)
The Word God "inspired" for "POWER" in this and other passages is "dunamis" [doo'-nam-is] (Strong's Definitions)... from which we get our English words DYNAMIC, and DYNAMO, and DYNAMITE.
So, the biblical theory of "how the earth" and the universe was formed, is that God CREATED IT FROM SPIRIT! All matter [the universe, the earth, everything in it and on it, what we are; EVERYTHING WE CAN SEE] is "compacted spirit"... compacted energy[WHICH WE CAN'T SEE]. All of which The Bible tells us will one day at the end of God's present plan -- BURN UP! It will all reach its flashpoint.
"...Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and EVERYTHING IN THEM WILL DISAPPEAR IN FIRE, and the earth and everything on it will be exposed to Judgment. Since EVERYTHING AROUND US IS GOING TO MELT AWAY, what holy, godly lives should you be living?" (II Peter 3:10-11 NLT)j
"For OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE." (Heb.12:29 NLT)
Our God, our Creator, is a SPIRIT, invisible to the human eye. And Spirit [that which we can't see] is what He used to "create" matter [that which we see]. And He "formed it" by the WORD of His mouth.
The finite human mind, which is governed by the five physical senses, can't comprehend this, of course... but the "spirit that God formed within each of us" [Zech.12:1] has the capacity to "believe" what God's Word has revealed to us. And, as Hebrews 11:3 tells us... it's through one's "Faith" and "Trust" in the TRUTH of His Word that a person can "Understand" how the earth was formed.
According to science, the earth was formed by gases that solidified through gravity.
The "big" bang theory is the theory that the earth was formed during a collision of space matter. The explosion/collision was so large that the particles in the middle generated life and formed the earth.
coformation(or sister) theory
The currently most-accepted theory is that it was the result of an impact, of a giant object with Earth.
The significance of the general theory is that Darwin is saying that all the diversity of life on earth can be explained by his special theory. The special theory says that through natural selection a new species may be formed after a long period of time.
The moon was formed be....1.formed @ the same time as Earth2.broke off from the Earth3. an asteroid that got cought in Earth's atmosphere and later on and some of Earth's mantle on top of it.
No, the Big Bang theory explains the origin of the universe and does not directly relate to the creation of volcanoes. Volcanoes are formed by the movement of tectonic plates on Earth's surface, which cause magma to rise and erupt through the Earth's crust.
The impact theory. The idea is that the Earth was hit by a large object and the Moon formed from the debris.
No. The Big Bang theory is an explanation on the formation of the universe. Earth did not form until billions of years later.
According to the biblical account, Adam and Eve populated the earth through their descendants, who went on to have children and continue the human race.
The dust-cloud theory proposed that Earth's Moon formed from debris ejected into space when a Mars-sized object collided with Earth early in its history. The debris formed a disk around Earth which eventually coalesced to form the Moon. This theory is supported by evidence such as the similar isotopic composition of Earth and Moon rocks.
Copernicus was a polish astronomer that first formed the theory that the Earth was at the center of the universe.
