The Old Testament scriptures were the only thing the apostles had.. It is possible that some of the New writings did pass from the hand of one to another who was close by. But, anyway, what they knew was corrected by the Holy Spirit if it had errs... I heard a man say if the apostles could not find the right word to fit the sentence, the Holy Spirit would supply it... Might be some truth to that for there are no errors in The Bible, unless they were added by someone that was copying or translating...

What road did Jesus Christ meet the disciples?

Jesus met the disciples on the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus, a village about 7 miles away. On this road, Jesus prevented his disciples from recognizing him in order that they might believe in him according to the scriptures rather than based on his physical recognition. Once they did recognize him in the scriptures and broke bread with him, their eyes were opened to recognize him for who he truly was, and they remarked about how their hearts burned when he opened to them the scriptures. This account is found in Luke 24:13-49.

What religion did Jesus and his early disciples follow?

'Disciples' can follow ANYone.A 'disciple' is a taught one, a learner, a pupil. If you're speaking of Jesus' disciples, then it was JESUS that they followed. They were 'footstep followers' of Christ. When Jesus died, they followed what Jesus had taught them, as well as observing those who knew him best and patterned their lives after Jesus.(1 Corinthians 11:1).Then, as today, we have principles and laws, a clear record of Jesus' life, and the life of his apostles, as well as the Hebrew scriptures, outlining those who found favor with God and those who did not, so we can have a very good idea HOW to be loyal to God, and CONTINUE to be disciples of Jesus.
