If heaven exists and god is just, they would if they lead good lives.

NEW ANSWER - The answer immediately below was not written by the author of the answer above.

>Everyone whether dead or alive will have the opportunity to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached to them. If they accept the Gospel in the spirit world when it's preached to them(they who have died and passed on) then the baptismal ordinance, and a few other saving ordinances will be performed in proxy for them here on earth. In, 1 Corinthians 15:29 we read, "Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?" Everyone will have the opportunity to be Baptised, or Baptised in proxy of, if they accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ whether they be alive or dead, as I said. Bear in mind that death is the separation of the spirit from the body, for without the spirit, which lives on, the body has no life in or of its self and so, returns to dust, from the dust whence it came; Much the same as a glove is lifeless when the hand is removed. Another King James Bible scripture affirms baptism for the dead; 1 Peter 4:6 reads, "For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.">

Will people who don't know about God or Christianity still go to heaven?

1st answer - There is no god or heaven so it doesnt really matter 2nd answer - In the Catechism of the Catholic Church points 1257 - 1261, it says there that baptism is necessary for salvation or entering heaven. However, there are 3 kinds of baptism - by water, by blood and by desire. The last type applies to the question. Those who die without knowing Christ or the Church but sincerely seek God and strive to do His will can also be saved without baptism - that is what you call BAPTISM OF DESIRE. Is it possible to be saved without Baptism? Point 1260 states - "Since Christ died for all, and since all men are in fact called to one and the same destiny, which is divine, we must hold that the Holy Spirit offers to all the possibility of being made partakers, in a way known to God, of the Paschal mystery" Every man who is ignorant of the Gospel of Christ and of His Church, but seeks the truth and does the will of God in accordance with his understanding of it, can be saved. It may be supposed that such persons would have desired Baptism explicitly if they had known its necessity. These answer do not answer me. I asked if I had no way of knowing there was a God because say I was raised on an island. The only people I knew had no God in there lives or expressed a desire for one. I could not know or even think of Baptism. I however live a good live not hurting everyone and helping others. Could I go to heaven?

If a person got excommunicated can they be re-baptized and return to the Church?

No, a person can only be baptized once. Excommunication does not wipe out the baptism. The person would have to repent to the bishop who excommunicated him/her and that bishop would have to lift the excommunication before the person could return to the Church.

Does baptism connect you with god?

I am not sure what is meant by "connect you with God". However, what we can say is that baptism reminds you of God's love and grace for you, a sign that you are "special" to God. If we considered a baptized person B and an unbaptized person U, both are equally loved by God. B, though, has had a physical experience that can remind them of this while U has not. B of course could ignore this reminder, and what we must not say is that the baptism in and by itself "made" God love B.

Could the biblical flood be likened to a baptism?

YES! Scripture says that God was fed up with the sinful ways of the world and, had decided to Purge the earth of sinners. You might liken that to God pushing the 'Reset Button' on his Creation so that He could start it over. Baptism is the rite of cleansing a person and dedicating them to God and Righteous Ways.

What happens at baptism?

The person is put into water 3 times to wash away their sins.AnswerAccording to some Scriptures we enter the Kingdom of Heaven where Christ is King through our Spiritual birth in Baptism . "'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' Nicodemus said to him, 'How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?' Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.'" (John Ch 3) It is obvious that we should see baptism as a parallel to our natural birth into the country in which we are born.AnswerIt depends, greatly, on the particular religion you are referring to. Different religions have different ceremonies and for different purposes. Not all religions have baptism

Why is baby baptism done in a church?

While the baptism could be carried out elsewhere, it loses the symbolism of being accepted by and baptized into a Church community. Baptism is carried out in other places only out of necessity as when there is a danger of eminent death.

Is Anne Frank watching me now in heaven?

Anne Frank could not watch you from Heaven. Jesus is the only one who can see you from the Heaven, and everywhere. If she was in Heaven now, she could play with other resurrected Christians. If you were a Christian, and went to Heaven after you die, you could dialogue with Anne Frank in Heaven. In Heaven, everybody would remember the things in the past. May be she would tell you what she wrote in the diary. (But not the bad things because Heaven is full of peace and goodness.)

How could Christians make sure they got to heaven before martin Luther?

Martin Luther didn't determine people got to heaven, but the Catholic Church was the entity that determined who got into heaven. If they excommunicated a person that was taken away. People were in great fear of being excommunicated by the church.
