The postulation that there is a Heaven and/or Hell is a common motif in religious belief. These locations vary in nature from the ancient Greek afterlife of a rather dreary wandering around in gloom to the rollicking beer fest that Viking heroes enjoyed in preparation for Ragnarok. The Christian or Islamic interpretation of an ease filled eternal existence for the good and a torment filled eternity for the bad is common.

Most atheists and agnostics have noticed that there is a lot of speculation and affirmation based on belief on these issues (see Dante's "The Divine Comedy" or Twain's "Captain Stormfield's Visit to Heaven" for examples) but a dearth of hard evidence. Based on the lack of proof the answer would be: No

Yes, there is, depending on what you believe in. There is Heaven for people who do not sin, or for people who are truly sorry for there sins. Hell is a place for people with a lot of sins (considering everyone sins at some point in their lives). There is Limbo, which is technically earth, it is a place for people who have not been baptized. There is also Purgatory, where God will made up his mind where you belong.

Opinion

There is a Heaven and Hell and it's your choice where you end up.

Heaven and hell are believed to be real by many people in the world. There is no definitive way to answer the question, as we have no proof of what happens after a person dies.

Opinion

By stating that there is no proof of a heaven and/or hell means that they do not exist does not make it so. For the people that read and study The Bible over thousands of years, from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation, the bible has been proven incredibly accuate historically and spiritually. Furthermore, Jesus listed the events that would take place before He returns and judges the world, warning to us 'be ready'. Those world events have already occured with only a few exceptions, meaning we are in what the bible calls the 'end times'. The odds that these events could be a coincedence is astronomical.
in the metaphorical sense, indeed i believe so. this questions is a warzone waiting to happen. i believe there is something greater but not heaven or hell. simply put we believed heaven was in the clouds until we could fly above them. then perhasp it was space until we traveled its expanse. so where is heaven? then we drilled to the deepest regions of earth to find more rock, wheres hell?....on that note check out "sounds of hell" Google and interpret it as you like, its really cool or spooky. In either event science cant provide awnsers to existence but god cant provide awnsers to his devout disciple who kill to purify the land.

be a good person in heart and you don't need a road map to heaven,

kill in gods name (abortion clinic bombings anyone?) and go to heaven?

somewhere, somehow, i believe moses didnt have Verizon ("can you hear me now")
