Perhaps his absense is due to the changes in the company's ownership as it was bought by and then sold off by Nat'l Distillers and ended up with XOM. Although the company's products displayed their original identity on store shelves, the Kordite Company pretty much lost its financial identity and it never had its own Stock Market listing. The original $10,000 investment in his sons by the elder Samuels certainly spawned a whale - probably valued by XOM between a worth of one to two billion dollars and growing. I worked for Kordite in '59, '60, 61 and then 1975 to '85 when I retired. Perhaps Howard is listed with his add'l public political identity as well as his early Kordite Presidency. 'Kordite', incidently, is the name of their originating product, plastic-sheathed clothesline cord, a product that the brothers based their (college) Master's theses on.
