According to two religious traditions, Judaism and Islam, the human eye cannot see God. The Creator is beyond all human senses. Our senses are too limited, and God is not like anything we can perceive, anyway. He is Unique. There is nothing at all like Him. There are wavelengths of sound human ears cannot hear, and there are wavelengths of light human eyes cannot see. God, in fact, is even beyond those things - because no instruments humans make can perceive Him either. The mind can grasp that He must exist - because of the perfection of creation - and the heart can feel His presence, as well.
The Bible says that no one has seen God. The Qur'an relates the story of when Moses asked God to allow Moses to see Him. God replied: "You cannot see me; but look at this mountain. If it remains in its place, then you will see me. So when God revealed His Glory to the mountain, it was pulverized, instantly; and Moses fainted. So when Moses regained conciousness, he said: There is no god but You. I am foremost in belief in You".
Jews and Muslims say quite clearly, and without any doubt, that Pauline Christian teachings about Jesus being "God incarnate" are simply pagan myths. they cannot be true, and they have nothing in common with the Old Testament teachings about the coming of the Messiah. Verses from the Old testament have, for centuries, been translated incorrectly - in order to perpetuate the Pauline doctrine.
